Emily Shilson earned the right to represent the USA at the Cadet World Championships this fall with a dominating performance at the Cadet World Team Trials. Back in Minnesota at Northern Plains, PINnacle wrestlers earned 29 Titles.

Emily Shilson's goal for many years was to make a World Team, and she accomplished that goal this weekend in Irving Texas at the United World Wrestling(UWW) Women's Cadet World Team Trials. Emily was dominant in the competition with pins or techs all the way through. Emily will be competing in Athens, Greece the first week of September for her chance to be a World Champion.

Also this past weekend was the Girls Nationals in Freestyle, Gigi Bragg came away with an impressive 3rd place finish at 60lbs.

It was a busy weekend at Northern Plains. On Saturday alone, which was Cadet/Junior Freestyle and Kids Greco, we had 81 wrestlers competing. Wrestlers earned 102 award stand appearances(51 in each style), and 29 Championships(14 Greco, 15 Freestyle). Paxton Creese decided to try his hand at wrestling Cadets and Juniors in Freestyle and Greco. Paxton came away with 4 Northern Plains titles to his name in dominant fashion with all Technical Falls or Pins. Other double champs include; Cole Han-Lindemyer, Cael Berg, Reid Ballentyne, Ryan Sokol, Grant Parrish, Jakob Bergeland, and Peyton Robb. Awesome to see these guys get out and compete.

Next up is the Men try to join Emily at the World Championships in Greece. 11 PINnacle wrestlers are slated to compete in Akron, OH the first weekend in June to make the Cadet(17under) World Team. Just a week later, is the Junior(20under) World Team Trials in Lincoln, Nebraska where 9 PINnacle Wrestlers are scheduled to compete.  Exciting times!
