19 Champs, 34 Finalist Highlight MN/WI HS State

We had a High School State Tournament, and that is something we should feel thankful for.  A State Tournament not at the X will never feel the same. The smell of mini-donuts, the packed concourse, and a variety of people from Grandmas and Grandpas, to kids with Dreams. My dream of becoming a State Champion started when my dad took me to the State Tournament when I was young.  As I walked into STMA for the AAA tournament, I noticed that I knew almost everybody in attendance. With only parents in the stands, it was half PINnacle parents, and the other half I had seen at local tournaments through the years.  This was a lot better than my 2nd day, which was on the couch, watching the AA tournament on a computer. Yes, I still yell instructions at the computer to my wrestlers. "Get to your tie!".   Back to the X next year!

Congrats to the 19 Champions, 34 Finalists, and 76 Placers that participated in PINnacle the past year.  I can't say something about everybody, but a few highlights.

Although Nick Novak isn't vocal, he was a leader in our youth group, and now our High School group. He has been "All in" throughout his time at PINnacle. So proud of him as he earned his State Title.

Another quiet leader, Cael Berg, went about his "business as usual" approach and won another State title, after coming back from surgery

Becker and Howes was a tremendous handfight in the final

Sylvester's smile as he watched the clock tick down to 0 was priceless

Roman Rogotzke throws the kitchen sink, every match

Han-Lindemyer and Wester are 2 young kids with bright futures

Anthony Tuttle(and his siblings) once hit all 12 Zoom classes in a week last spring. I attribute that to his faster feet this year

Bennett Tabor broke his face, and still won a title

Simley wasn't messing around in the Team State Finals. Congrats to Coach Short and Coach LeVesseur(Shakopee) on Team State titles.

We want to congratulate all the wrestlers on the season. This was a season like no other. The wrestlers deserve all the credit with the work they must do to achieve their goals. Also, congrats to the High School coaches who led their athletes to the State Tournament and helping them Be Great! The amount of time they put in is incredible.
