Also at UWW, Griffin Parriott lost his 1st match in freestyle, then reeled off 8 straight wins to take 3rd. Wrestle-backs aren't easy for athletes, and it shows a lot of heart, and hard nosed attitude to come back! Patrick McKee had a great run to the finals of UWW Freestyle, but then ran into the buzzsaw Spencer Lee. A great accomplishment for Patrick! 1st year Junior Jake Allar had an impressive showing in Greco taking 3rd. Jake and Patrick are still UWW Cadets and will try to make the Cadet World Team in June.
By winning UWW Juniors, McKee will participate in the annual Beat The Streets which is held on Times Square in NYC vs Iran. We will keep you updated with more information. Mitchell also has a bye to the finals of the UWW Junior World Team Trials where he will try to make his 2nd World team.
